What is an administrator?

On Cherryfish, every nonprofit has its own unique structure.  Every nonprofit has a main public profile, and from here, anyone is able to see the upcoming events and other pages the nonprofit has set up. Each one of these public profiles gets set up by users with special access.  Here, we’ll describe that access for Administrators and Event Leaders.

Administrators are the main person responsible for pages on Cherryfish.  Administrators can manage the public profile, set up giving opportunities (like donation levels and volunteer roles) and start events.  Administrators are notified of activity that takes place on their pages.  They get notified when an action takes place, like a donation, ticket purchase, or volunteer sign up.  Notifications are also sent as reminders to events, or if someone starts a supporter-hosted event.

Event leaders help organize events on Cherryfish.  Leaders can manage the public profile, set up giving opportunities (like ticket sales, auction items, donation levels, and volunteer roles).  There is no limit to the number of leaders added for an event.  Leaders get notified when an action takes place, like a donation, ticket purchase, or volunteer sign up.

Every nonprofit has one administrator.  The administrator role can be transferred to another user but, currently, there can only be one administrator at a time.  If you need multiple people to access the main nonprofit account, please use a single set of credentials and share with those who need them.  The main administrator will always have full access to any pages and events that are a part of the charity.

The main administrator can create and manage pages.  Each page can have its own administrator, assigned by the charity administrator.  The page administrator can create and manage sub-pages.  There is no limit to the number of pages that can be created.  Page administrators will always have full access to any pages and events that are under their page.
